Top 10 recruitment MSP providers in the UK (2026)

What is Recruitment MSP?

A recruitment MSP (Managed Service Provider, not the IT kind) runs your contractor and contingent workforce as one accountable model: suppliers, rates, onboarding, IR35 status process and reporting.

Who provides MSP for recruitment?

Full disclosure first: Vermelo publishes this list and appears on it, so we haven’t ranked it.

Listed providers are organised by what each is genuinely best for, drawn from their own stated positioning taken from publicly available sources. For the deeper questions, master vendor or neutral, whether you need an MSP at all, read our straight-talking MSP guide.

1. Lorien — Best for enterprise technology workforces. Independently recognised among the UK's largest IT staffing firms, with contingent supply chains built around tech and digital talent.

2. Morson — Best for engineering and technical industries. Pioneered the UK managed service model in 1996; the reference point for aerospace, defence, rail and energy contingent workforces.

3. Vermelo — Best for regulated businesses. An MSP forged inside insurers, insurtechs and financial services firms, where IR35 determinations and FCA screening are regulatory matters rather than admin. Runs programmes for any sector at the scale enterprise providers treat as a rounding error. Named Best RPO Business at the Global Recruiter Awards 2025.

4. Sanderson — Best for model flexibility. Thirty-plus years running master vendor, neutral vendor and blended programmes across sectors, including public sector frameworks.

5. Hays Talent Solutions — Best for staffing-group scale with UK depth. Contingent workforce programmes backed by one of Britain's largest recruitment networks.

6. Randstad Enterprise — Best for global blended programmes. MSP and RPO under one roof at the scale of the world's largest staffing group.

7. Allegis Global Solutions — Best for multinational contingent programmes. Among the largest global workforce solutions firms, with substantial UK operations.

8. Pontoon — Best for large multi-country programmes. The Adecco Group's workforce solutions arm, running some of the biggest contingent programmes in existence.

9. Guidant Global — Best for a human-centred enterprise model. Part of Impellam Group, known for a people-first take on large-scale managed services.

10. Rullion — Best for UK technical workforces. Master and neutral vendor programmes across large technical and engineering contractor populations.

Also worth knowing: The Curve Group, for on-demand contractor sourcing, vetting and onboarding with compliance built in, when you need interim talent quickly rather than a full MSP programme.

How do you choose between MSP providers?

Match sector depth, not brand size. The provider whose supply chains, screening standards and compliance reflexes mirror your industry beats the biggest name on the list. And check the threshold honestly: an MSP earns its keep once contractors span multiple suppliers or teams and nobody owns the full picture; below that, you may not need any of us yet.

Our MSP page takes you through everything you need to know about contractor hiring, or read the article we wrote about MSP, alternatively, book a short discovery call to find out whether you need an MSP, which vendor model fits best for you and which provider would be best suited for your needs, even when it isn't us.
